Day 2 of Philly.
Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00AM While I wasn't planning on participating in NaBloPoMo, it looks like I am by the amount I've been blogging. Sorry or your welcome depending... But I'll keep it up for as long as I am amused.
Lately, I've been hearing the word Storytelling to describe a certain photography style. Please don't ask me to explain this because I can't. I don't know how it's different from lifestyle or even artful snapshots. Or really even only blogging your/clients' life. Maybe you focus more on the details. Maybe you spend lots of time with a client prior to a shoot. Who knows? Sometimes I think people like terms. Here's the storytelling of Day 2 Philly meet-up.
The day started with coffee. Because all good days begin this way. Especially days born from nights of beer and boxed wine. This line was long, but we were given a surprise at the end of the line.

Don't ask what was inside. I won't tell.
Then we got back to the hotel and played with putty. This is year two of the putty. It never gets old. Farting is always funny. And this type of toot doesn't even stink.
We stumbled onto Occupy Philly before lunch. It was about 10 a.m. and the place was really quiet. You could hear a few of the tents stirring with morning activity, but the place was empty. I've slept in enough tents to wonder: how was the sun keeping these people from tumbling out into the world? And don't tell me they were up really late fighting the Man. I've been up really late playing the Name Game while drinking way too much cheap beer. 7 a.m. comes and the sun is an alarm with no snooze button. Whatever. Their signs were awesome.

We had lunch and met Holly. All of which I didn't photograph. But then we hit the park. And we did what photographers do: got low, coveted camera bags, and created scenes to photograph.

Even the dog didn't know what to do. Plus I think he was disgusted with our behavior.

We did a From Where I Stand Photo and I stopped storytelling my afternoon.

Second half of Day Two later on...

I don't know how I found your blog recently, but I'm so glad I did. You are amazingly talented. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Love these.
I want the tan sweater wearers shoes. They rock.
Sounds like a pretty terrific trip.
