10 on 10 :: September

This day seems like it happened years ago that I had even forgotten what day I had chosen for my 10 on 10.  First day of second grade went off without tears or a bit of frustration.  A very forgettable day compared to our first day of Kindergarten.  I’ll take forgettable.  He woke up with a smirk on his face and he marched off ready for school to begin.

I kept Becks home for a good ole’ Mom and Me day.  He chose Chiptole for lunch and had to have the Guacamole which always makes me irrationally happy.

He was also feeling very grown up and asked to play the Wii all by himself.I finally finished 2011’s album.Coop came home with homework and we started our routine all over again.Mark was out-of-town, so he got the update via the phone.

Coop asked for a Red Robin dinner.  Because I loathe this place, I asked for friends to come in for support.

Main reason for the Red Robin choice?  The Claw game.

The day ended with two kids who won at the Claw game.  One kid entered school as a second grader.  One kid entered into a new era of independence.  And one Momma ended the day happily because the whole house was happy.  You can’t ask for more.
I wonder how Michel spent her 10 on 10 day?  Go find out!

  • michel - I find it quite awkward – the similarities to your boys and Matt. I have to endure Red Robin for the world best burger… all. the. time – but we sit in the bar and I make him buy be beer. I’ll look into the claw game next go though.September 10, 2012 – 11:05 amReplyCancel

    I can spy on it and feel just what he’s feeling…
    And I’m once again inspired by you because of the album — I need to stop worrying about making some elaborate photo book and just print my damn images and slip them in the sleeves already. It’s gorgeous.September 11, 2012 – 10:03 amReplyCancel
